How to Download and Open These Files

For reasons I do not understand Microsoft chose to use the same file identifier or magic number for the docx and pptx files as was already being used for zip files. The code is 50 4B 03 04 14 00 06 00 for all of these. This means some browsers, such as Microsoft's own Internet Explorer, put a zip file extension on the end of the files on this web site when they download them for you. There are two ways to fix this problem.
First, select Tools from the menu bar, then select Internet Options. On the page that appears click the Security tab. On the Security page click the Sites button beside the Trusted sites section. Uncheck the Require server verification (https) for all sites in this zone box. Then in the box labeled Add this website to the zone: type in http://www.chipps.com. Click the Add button. Click Close. Click Ok.
The second way to deal with this problem is to let the browser download the files with the zip extension, then change the extension yourself after they are downloaded.
If anyone knows some other way to fix this problem, let me know.
